Glorax Swiss Racing is a privately owned racing team which races in championships across the globe.
The history of Glorax Racing begins in 2005, when the team’s founder – Andrey Birzhin – started an amateur cross-country race. After participating in an extreme expedition throughout Mongolia, Andrey formed his own team in April 2013 – with the mission to take part in extreme sports and organize expeditions on a professional level.
Today, Glorax Racing has been rigorously participating and perfecting itself across three sports disciplines: car racing, motocross class MX2, and buggy UTV/side-by-side. The company also organizes extreme expeditions all around the world, promoting a healthy lifestyle full of interesting and positive experiences.
The Glorax Racing team has set difficult, yet clear and elevated goals. One, to become a leader in a global format. Second, to help young Russian athletes promote themselves and participate in prestigious races such as Formula 1 and World Championship Motocross MX1. And finally, to open new horizons and conquer new heights in extreme motorsports.
In September of 2014, Glorax Swiss Racing SA, based in Lugano, was founded to improve the management of sport events and participation in races. The workshop is based in Ravenna, where a group of skilled mechanics and engineers are hard at work to prepare the Glorax Racing cars.
The team owns two cars – both Ferrari 458 GT3 Italias.
The team took part in the Hankook 24H Dubai 2015 with five drivers at the helm: Andrey Birzhim, Rino Mastronardi, Isaac Tutumlu, Dimitrios Deverikos and Gabriele Lancieri.
For the 2015 season, Glorax Racing will participate in one of the most challenging car-racing championships for GT vehicles: the Blancpain Endurance Series.
