Second place in Silverstone race allows the Swiss team to take the lead in the championship with drivers Birzhin, Mancini and Mastronardi.
Silverstone (GBR). The prestigious British Silverstone circuit, home of the first Formula One race in history in 1950, hosts the Blancpain Endurance Series second seasonal round. Sixty-two participate in the first free practice session, with Glorax Racing suffering from technical and regulation problems. The negative trend also continues through qualifications, conditioned by the variable climate and traffic on the track. But the race is completely different! Mastronardi has a fantastic start and thanks also to other team’s difficulties, he immediately takes the first position; the Italian driver is literally unleashed and he increases his margin. The performances of Birzhin and Mancini are pretty good but due to a later safety car, the victory is compromised. However, they still take second place which allows Glorax Racing to rank in the Am Cup championship in first position overall.
